Overview of the Axis P1425-E

Outdoor-ready and compact P1425-E bullet network camera from the Axis P14 series, providing HD 1080p video capture at up to 30 fps and with true day/night functionality for 24-hour performance. Additional features include I/O support for connection of external devices, remote focus and zoom, P-iris lens, recording to memory card, Corridor Format, dual codec, PoE, intelligent video and wide dynamic range (WDR). Axis Companion software for up to 16 channels, plus mobile viewing support.

Delivering HD 1080p at full frame rate (30 fps) and true day/night functionality through an infrared-cut filter, the Axis P1425-E from the outdoor-ready P14 series of bullet network cameras provides high quality 24-hour surveillance, with remote focus and zoom enabling easy installation. The camera's I/O capability can be used to connect devices such as a PIR sensor, and enables notification to alarm panel of control relay. The P1425-E's P-iris lens optimally captures video with improved contrast, field depth, clarity and resolution, for clearer CCTV footage.

Wide dynamic range (WDR) technology enables the P1425-E to capture detailed images in very bright and very dark areas of a scene for clear identification. If a particular application means a video stream is more vertical rather than horizontal, the stream can be vertically orientated using Axis Corridor Format, reducing recording of redundant areas and saving storage space and bandwidth. With H.264 and Motion JPEG both supported, the Axis P1425-E provides flexible recording for the user, to best suit the application.

Intelligent video capability enables the Axis P1425-E to alert the user to activity identified, offering reliable and accurate security monitoring. Local recording to an integrated memory card (MicroSD card not included), provides removable storage that can be also be used for data backup. The P1425-E is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), supplying power to the camera via the network cable and enabling easier and lower-cost installation.

The 16-channel Axis Companion application is supported and viewing via smartphones and tablets can be done using the Axis Companion mobile apps available for iOS and Android. The P1425-E has an integrated wall mount and comes with an adjustable sunshield to protect against harsh sunlight.
