Overview of the Axis P1425-LE Mk II

Axis P1425-LE Mk II IP66-rated outdoor bullet-style network camera, with full HD 1080p, true day/night and built-in OptimisedIR LEDs providing up to 20m of night-vision. Other useful features include remote focus & zoom, MicroSD card recording and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). Axis Lightfinder and WDR Forensic Capture are also supported for clear image capture in challenging lighting conditions. Axis Companion software can be downloaded, providing support for mobile access.

Able to capture full frame rate HD 1080p, combined with true day/night capability and built-in IR LEDs with up to 20m distance, this outdoor bullet network cameras provides high quality surveillance 24 hours a day, with enhanced night-time monitoring. With OptimisedIR technology, the camera adapts the amount of IR light for the scene, providing automatic illumination in complete darkness, on motion detection or on user request. The P-iris lens ensures images are captured with optimal resolution, clarity, contrast and depth of field whilst remote focus and zoom enables fine tuning using the network interface for easy installation and maintenance. With I/O support, PIR sensors and other external devices can be connected to enhance the security system.

Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) - Forensic Capture capability delivers balanced video in areas where light variations create dark shadows and bright highlights, whilst Axis Lightfinder technology provides high-level image capture in poor lighting. Axis Corridor Format is another handy feature that allows users to conserve bandwidth and storage when monitoring narrow areas, vertically orientating the video stream to prevent recording redundant areas. Dual codec provides further flexibility with storage and bandwidth management, enabling compression via H.264 or Motion JPEG.

Secure and reliable monitoring is delivered using intelligent video capabilities that enable motion detection and user alerts via email and additional methods. The camera is easy and cost-effective to install using Power over Ethernet (PoE) and support for edge recording to a MicroSD card (card not included), provides low-cost local storage. In addition, Axis' Zipstream technology is included to help lower bandwidth and storage requirements. It does this by analysing and optimising the video stream in real time, recording interesting detail in high quality, whilst filtering other areas out.

Axis' 16-channel video management platform, Axis Companion software can be installed, whilst mobile access via smartphones and tablets is supported using the Axis Companion apps.
