Overview of the Axis P3215-V

Affordable and compact P3215-V indoor impact-resistant dome network camera from the Axis P32 series, ideal for general surveillance requirements. Feature-set includes full HD 1080p, true day/night, wide dynamic range (WDR), remote focus and zoom, digital PTZ, PoE, MicroSD card recording, dual codec, intelligent video and P-iris lens for optimum image capture.

The cost-effective P3215-V from the Axis P32 series of compact, affordable domes provides robust and high quality surveillance ideal for a wide variety of general CCTV applications. IK08 rated for impact resistance, the indoor casing protects the camera from tampering and makes the camera ideal for use in exposed areas. HD 1080p capability at full frame rate in addition to true day/night capability enables the P3215-V to provide smooth video footage round-the-clock. The P-iris lens provides optimal image capture, ensuring depth of field, contrast, clarity and resolution are at ideal levels depending on the scene. Featuring remote focus and zoom in addition to pixel counter, the Axis P3215-V is easy to install and provides simple usability.

The Axis P3215-V is well suited for the surveillance of strongly backlit areas such as entrances, as the incorporated wide dynamic range (WDR) technology ensures all detail is captured despite bright highlights or dark shadows that can often saturate images. Reliable and accurate surveillance is delivered by this Axis dome camera, utilising its intelligent video capabilities that can detect activity and tampering, efficiently alerting the user via several methods including email. Activity can be viewed in closer detail using the digital PTZ feature.

With Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, the P3215-V is easily and quickly installed, using the network cable to supply power to the camera. A built-in MicroSD card slot enables local recording and acts as a data backup solution if the network loses connection (card not included). Multiple streams can be individually configured in either H.264 or Motion JPEG for storage and bandwidth flexibility.
