Overview of the Axis P3215-VE

IP66 and IK10-rated vandal-resistant and outdoor-ready Axis P3215-VE dome network camera from the P32 series, with HD 1080p video and an infrared-cut filter for true day/night capability. Other features include P-iris lens, remote focus and zoom, edge storage to MicroSD card, PoE, intelligent video, dual codec and wide dynamic range (WDR).

The Axis P3215-VE's IK10 and IP66 rated casing provides robust protection against vandalism and is designed for external use in harsh conditions including dust, rain and low temperatures. Part of the affordable Axis P32 series of dome cameras, the P3215-VE produces HD 1080p video (30 fps) and has an infrared-cut filter to automatically switch the camera from day to night mode depending on available light. The network interface can be used to remotely focus the camera and zoom, providing easier installation.

With P-iris control, field of depth, clarity, contrast and resolution of images is enhanced, whilst scenes with dark shadows and back light can be effectively captured using wide dynamic range technology (WDR), improving detail for easier identification. Able to detect tampering and activity using intelligent video, the Axis P3215-VE delivers reliable security monitoring and can alert users to activity efficiently. Operators can view specific areas more closely using the handy digital PTZ feature.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) cost-effectively provides power to the camera through the network cable, meaning only one cable is required for installation. With a choice between H.264 and Motion JPEG, users can flexibly decide on a compression method to best suit requirements. Edge storage onto an integrated MicroSD card (not included), enables local video recording and provides data back up.
