Overview of the Axis P3225-LVE Mk II

This fixed dome network camera provides HD 1080p video complete with true day/night capability and infrared (IR) illumination up to 30m. Part of the affordable Axis P32 series, the camera features an IP66 and IK10 rated housing for a robust CCTV solution, ideal within external installations where the camera may be subject to tampering. In challenging light conditions, Axis OptimisedIR and P-iris technology capture excellent image detail for high quality CCTV surveillance. The compact dome camera also features Axis Zipstream and Lightfinder technologies, alongside support for digital PTZ viewing and on-board storage.

The camera's compact design enables the unit to be placed seamlessly within an external installation resulting in unobtrusive monitoring. Housed in an IK10 vandal-resistant and IP66 ingress rated casing, the camera is protected from rain, dust and can withstand attempts of tampering and vandalism. These combined features result in a cost-effective and robust monitoring solution for outdoor applications.

Capable of producing HD 1080p video at full frame rate, the IP camera also features an integrated IR cut filter that automatically switches between capture modes dependent on lighting to provide 24/7 coverage. Built-in IR LEDs with an illumination range of up to 30m help enhance night-vision, while Axis' OptimisedIR technology ensures an evenly illuminated image by automatically adapting the angle of illumination to the zoom level set. P-iris control ensures the depth of field, contrast, clarity and resolution are at optimum levels and Axis' WDR - Forensic Capture technology ensures all details are captured in dark and bright areas. Additionally, low light image capture is improved using Axis' Lightfinder technology.

A varifocal lens (3.0–10.5 mm) provides the camera with a 92°–34° horizontal viewing angle that enables a large area to be covered with a single network camera. Images can be used for identification purposes with the help of digital pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) viewing that allows the user to examine the original image in closer detail.

“Intelligent” motion detection results in a reliable and accurate level of surveillance, ensuring users have a high awareness of the scene. When an alarm is triggered, the camera efficiently alerts the user of activity via a choice of several notification methods including email.

Axis Zipstream technology lowers bandwidth and storage requirements by an average of up to 50%, ensuring that important details within the image are retained within the video stream, while unnecessary data can be removed. Integrated storage allows recordings to be stored on board the camera using the MicroSD card slot (card not included) and serves to backup data if the network connection is interrupted

Remote focus and zoom features enable the operator to focus the camera via the network, which eliminates hands-on fine-tuning and simplifies installation if the camera is mounted in a difficult to reach position. Additionally, Power-over-Ethernet compatibility allows the camera to receive power and network connectivity over a single cable enabling quick and cost-effective installation.
