Overview of the Axis P5415-E
Axis P5415-E outdoor network camera with direct drive PTZ mechanism for durability, true day/night, integrated wall mount, 270° panning, Axis Advanced Gatekeeper and hidden junction box
The Axis P5415-E outdoor network camera offers advanced, high quality surveillance with a unique built-in wall mount for easy installation and reduced costs. The IP66-rated casing is sloped to prevent vandalism (by pulling it down) and offers sleek design for installation on any modern building. 270° panning and 18x optical zoom allow for detailed monitoring of a large area and video in HD 1080p at 30 frames per second means the P5415-E can produce high quality video data under low bandwidth conditions. The Axis P5415-E has direct drive pan/tilt which means there are no belts or gears; this reduces wear and tear and increases the durability and reliability of the camera. The P5415-E features an infrared cut-filter which automatically switches the camera from colour mode during daylight to black and white image capture in low light.
Support for two way audio enables a speaker and microphone to be connected to the camera (not included), this feature can enable verbal interaction through the camera and also enables sounds to be recorded. Video motion and audio detection provide accurate, reliable surveillance, alerting the user of activity via email and also triggering recording to SD card and/or central server to ensure no vital footage is missed. Axis Advanced Gatekeeper technology guards a gate and its surroundings, zooming in when an object appears for useful images.
Video files can be compressed via H.264, reducing bandwidth and storage requirements whilst Motion JPEG provides an alternative choice if further increased quality in required. On-board recording onto an SD card (not included) offers decentralised recording, beneficial for temporary or mobile applications, or for installations in areas with intermittent network connectivity.
Please note: there is no power supply included with this unit. It is power over ethernet capable.
