Overview of the Axis P5544

The Axis P5544 indoor PTZ dome network camera has a unique design that combines full 360° panoramic view with high-speed pan-tilt-zoom functionality. Axis’ new Panopsis technology uses two lenses, ensuring maximum image quality for both the 360° panoramic view as well as close-up inspection of activity using the camera's 18x optical zoom capability. The Axis P5544 is ideal for monitoring large areas up to 10,000 square feet, providing both a full overview of the area as well as offering you the ability to zoom in and monitor aspects of the site in detail. Warehouses, train terminals, factory floors and university campuses are examples of areas where this high-performance IP camera would be particularly beneficial.

The camera's High Definition 720p resolution combined with H.264 compression delivers high quality, smooth video whilst its advanced user interface allows for quick switching between panoramic and close-up PTZ views. The Advanced Gatekeeper function allows preset positions to be assigned within the large overview, with the PTZ element of the camera able to automatically move and focus to the areas where motion is detected, ensuring nothing is missed.

The P5544 has true day/night functionality, allowing the camera to capture imagery in daytime and in low-light conditions, while microphones and speakers can be connected to let users interact verbally with people in view (separate multi-cable connector required). On-camera recording is possible using a SD card (not included), providing back up or stand-alone operation. Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) allows for quick and easy installation with reduced cabling.
