Overview of the Axis P5624-E Mk II

Affordable P5624-E Mk II outdoor PTZ dome network camera from the Axis P56 series, featuring 360° pan, 23x optical zoom, HD 720p and true day/night. Also supports edge recording, PoE+, shock detection, wide dynamic range (WDR) - Forensic Capture and video motion detection with Advanced Gatekeeper.

Part of the Axis P56 series, the P5624-E Mk II delivers high performance, attractively-priced CCTV surveillance ideal for large outdoor areas. It features 360° endless panning and 180° tilt for wide area coverage and 23x optical zooming to allow further investigation of specific regions. In addition, the camera can provide instant focus in predefined areas, even in challenging lighting conditions using focus recall. This handy feature removes the need to manually focus or wait for autofocus to adjust and is useful in scenarios that require a lot of manual operation using a joystick.

Capable of full HD 720p, the camera captures smooth, high quality video suitable for a wide range of CCTV applications. WDR - Forensic Capture feature enables the capture of very bright and very dark areas of a scene to enhance visibility in challenging lighting conditions and improve identification. The unit delivers 24 hour security surveillance by capturing black and white images during night-time through the use of an infrared-cut filter, automatically switching to full colour mode during daylight.

Integrated shock detection triggers the camera to send an alarm if it is hit, providing reliable, real-time detection of vandalism attempts, whilst video motion detection and Axis Advanced Gatekeeper technology enable the camera to zoom in on objects detected in a specified area, allowing further analysis and identification.

Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) enables the camera to be installed using a single cable for power and network connection, whilst costs are lowered further by utilising the cameras edge recording capability, saving footage to an integrated SD card (not included) instead of a centralised server or PC. With the use of Axis' Zipstream technology, bandwidth and storage requirements are lowered by an average of up to 50%. The technology optimises the video stream in real-time and allows important details to be retained while removing unnecessary data.
