Overview of the Axis P5635-E Mk II

High-performance Axis P5635-E Mk II external network camera from the P56 series of PTZ domes, featuring 360° panning, 180° tilt and 30x optical zoom. HD 1080p capable and support for wide dynamic range, two-way audio, shock detection, electronic image stabilisation, video motion detection with Advanced Gatekeeper, PoE+ and on-board recording.

Featuring high performance 360° endless panning and 180° tilt, this outdoor dome delivers wide area coverage and supports up to 30x optical zooming to enable crisp identification. The camera also provides instant focus in predefined areas, even in challenging lighting conditions using focus recall. This handy feature removes the need to manually focus or wait for autofocus to adjust and is useful in scenarios that require a lot of manual operation using a joystick. For improved imaging in a variety of lighting environments, wide dynamic range (WDR) – Forensic Capture lowers noise levels and increases the image signal to ensure all details are visible in both dark and bright areas.

The P5635-E Mk II alerts users to potential vandalism attempts by using built-in shock detection, whilst video motion detection with Advanced Gatekeeper functionality can detect activity within specific areas and zoom in to enable further analysis and identification, delivering accurate and reliable security monitoring in large areas. With bi-directional audio capability, the unit can also use audio detection to alert users to activity and supports the connection of a microphone and speaker (not included).

Users can compress video files using either H.264 or Motion JPEG formats, whilst the Axis' Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) function provides further bandwidth savings and better image quality when the camera is vibrating. Axis' Zipstream technology analyses the video in real-time and continuously optimises the stream. Details deemed more important are retained and unnecessary data is removed, lowering bandwidth and storage requirements by up to 50%. Support for edge recording to MicroSD card provides local recording capability, also providing a data backup solution in the event of network failure.
