Overview of the 0661-001 Axis Q1635

High-level Q1635 indoor network camera from the Axis Q16 series, capable of HD 1080p at 60 fps and with true day/night and Axis Lightfinder for increased sensitivity. Additional features include two-way audio, intelligent video, shock detection, wide dynamic range, defogging, Axis Corridor Format, dual codec, PoE and MicroSD card storage.

Part of the Axis Q16 series, the Q1635 indoor network camera incorporates a 1/2 sensor capable of producing HD 1080p at 60 frames per second to provide fast-paced surveillance for busy applications. The CS-mount varifocal lens enables wide area surveillance, delivering a horizontal viewing angle of up to 102°, adjustable to suit a range of applications. Featuring an infrared-cut filter and increased light sensitivity from Axis' Lightfinder technology, the Q1635 provides high quality true day/night monitoring, automatically switching to colour mode during daylight and monochrome mode in low light. Designed for indoor use, the Q1635 can operate in temperatures up to 55°C.

Utilising Axis' wide dynamic range WDR-forensic capture, the Q1635 is ideal for identifying people or objects in bright and dark areas, whilst electronic image stabilisation ensure video is smooth and steady despite camera vibrations. Users can optimise viewing and bandwidth usage with Axis Corridor Format, which enables the vertical orientation of streams for narrow scenes such as hallways, entrances and exits. The Axis Q1635 also provides defogging image capabilities, improving the camera's visibility in fog, smoke and haze and ensuring clear image capture at all times.

Equipped with a built-in microphone, the Axis Q1635 is able to capture audio data, enhancing video footage and assisting with event analysis. Audio input is also supported, providing two-way audio capabilities and allowing conversation through the camera. Audio detection can be used in addition to shock detection, active tampering alarm and intelligent video to alert operators to activity and camera tampering attempts, providing reliable CCTV monitoring. The Q1635 is made simple to install using focus assistant, pixel counter and remote back focus installation aids, whilst Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies cabling. Edge recording onto a MicroSD card (card not included) provides low-cost data storage, independent from the network.
