Overview of the Axis Q1775

This indoor network camera is capable of delivering HD 1080p resolution at up to 50 frames per second (fps), complete with true day/night capability for 24-hour surveillance. Part of the advanced Q17 series, the camera features a built-in microphone as well as support for two-way audio and edge storage. Additional features include a 10x optical zoom for in depth investigation and PoE.

The varifocal lens (3.8mm – 38mm) provides 67.8° ~ 8.1° horizontal viewing angles, allowing the capture of wide overviews and detailed close-up images - helpful for identification. The unit’s optical zoom features autofocus to instantly bring the desired field of view in accurate focus. A digital zoom is also available, at a factor of up to 12x to allow further examination of the image.

Capable of HD resolution at a high frame rate, this day/night camera provides detailed images and smooth video quality – ideal for monitoring high activity areas. WDR – Dynamic Capture technology captures bright and dark areas of a scene by combining several images with different exposure levels, improving detail and enabling clearer identification. An additional imaging technology is Axis Corridor Format which vertically orientates the video stream, capturing only what is essential as well as saving on bandwidth levels.

The camera offers CD-quality audio in 48 kHz and includes a built-in microphone that allows users to listen in and record audio in the monitored area. Two-way audio is enabled when a speaker (not included) is connected via an external I/O port – allowing verbal interaction.

Video motion and audio detection methods can be configured to trigger an alarm and alert the user of events in real-time. Additionally, Axis’ Gatekeeper technology can be configured to automatically zoom in when motion is detected – allowing further analysis and easier identification.

Support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) allows both power and network connection to be delivered to the camera via a single cable, simplifying installation. The unit supports both H.264 and M-JPEG compression standards, allowing the user to view a live stream in low resolution and record in high definition, saving on storage and bandwidth costs. Additionally, on-board storage provides a back-up if the network fails, recording files onto the SD card (not included).
