Advanced Axis Q6042 indoor network camera with true day/night, IP52 rating, PoE, built-in video analytics, two-way audio and SD recording

The Axis Q6042 indoor PTZ dome network camera offers effective and precise area coverage with 360° endless panning, 20° above horizon tilt and 36x optical zoom for high quality images from great distances. True day/night capability enables the Q6042 to capture images in colour mode during daylight, automatically switching to monochrome capture at night-time through an infrared cut filter. The IP52 rated casing protects the camera against dust and dripping water. Two-way audio support enables an optional speaker and microphone (not included) to be connected to the Q6042, enabling sound recording to complement the video. This feature also enables two way verbal interaction through the camera for giving warnings or instructions.

Shock detection technology identifies when the camera is experiencing impact from activity such as hitting, alerting the user to potential tampering attempts. Image stabiliser offsets the effects of camera movement such as vibrations and makes the Axis Q6042 IP camera ideal for use in environments such as factories with heavy machinery. Built-in analytics with Axis Active Gatekeeper enables the camera to detect motion in a user-defined area and automatically pan to a preset position to track the object whilst alerting the user. Audio, motion and shock detection can also trigger alarms to alert the user, providing reliable, accurate security surveillance of a large area.

Dual codec with H.264 and Motion JPEG provides the user with configuration flexibility for different network conditions. High Power over Ethernet (PoE+) powers the camera through the Ethernet cable for quick and easy installation. SD recording onto an integrated SD card (card not included) ensures data is smooth and uninterrupted by possible network failure.
