The Axis Q6042-E network camera from Axis delivers fast and precise pan-tilt-zoom in Extended D1 resolution (736x576). 360° endless panning securely monitors large areas, removing the need for additional cameras. 36x optical zoom provides a high level of zoom on a region of interest, maintain the extended D1 resolution throughout before changing to a further 12x digital zoom.20° above horizon tilt enables the camera to view higher than its mounting position. The IK10 and IP66 ratings of the Q6042-E make it suitable for outdoor use in areas at risk of vandalism and true day/night functionality makes this camera ideal for critical surveillance operations that require monitoring 24/7.

The Axis Q6042-E provides secure and effective security monitoring through advanced video motion detection technologies. Axis Active Gatekeeper guards a gate and its surroundings anywhere in the camera's field of view, zooming in when an object appears. Autotracking can then follow a subject for accurate monitoring. If activity is detected, the Q6042-E can trigger an alarm to alert the user.

Wide dynamic range (WDR) enhances images captured in scenes with both bright highlights and shadows and prevents light saturation for clearer detail in images. Electronic stabiliser offsets the effects of camera movement such as vibrations or in high winds, and is particularly useful when using zoom for stable, clear images.

PoE+ support enables the Q6042-E to be powered through the same cable at network connectivity, reducing cabling costs during installation. Edge recording onto an SD card (not included) acts as a data backup solution in case of a network failure so video footage is uninterrupted.
