Overview of the Axis Q6044-E

Axis Q6044-E outdoor IK10 and IP66 rated network camera with electronic image stabilisation, shock detection, Axis active gatekeeper and SD storage.

The Axis Q6044-E is an advanced pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) outdoor network camera for high performance surveillance across large areas such as airports and dock yards. Fast and precise 360° panning and 30x optical zoom in HD 720p provide high resolution surveillance over great distances. 'True' day/night capability enables this Axis IP camera to produce full colour images during daylight, switching to monochrome images at night through an IR cut filter. This feature enables the Q6044-E to monitor an area 24/7. The IK10 and IP66 rated casing protect the camera from outside elements and vandalism attempts, providing a reliable, robust security CCTV solution.

Wide dynamic range improves contrast in images to ensure detail is visible, for clearer video footage. Axis automatic de-fog technology detects fog in a scene and automatically filters it out to produce clearer images; this is a particularly useful feature for coastal applications prone to foggy conditions. Electronic image stabiliser reduces the affects of camera vibration and makes the Q6044-E suitable for mounting on structures subject to vibrations from wind of traffic, for example a pole or bridge.

Intelligent video motion detection with Axis Active Gatekeeper technology provides a reliable, effective security solution, with autotracking following a subject whilst in the camera's field of view for detailed, clear event analysis. Shock detection technology can detect impact and alert an operator to alert that the camera has been hit.

On board recording onto an SD card (card not included) provides the user with bandwidth use flexibility as data can be stored internally until network traffic is suitable for it to be transferred to a central device. High Power over Ethernet (PoE+) enables the Q6044-E camera to be powered through the Ethernet cable which also carries network connectivity, eliminating the need for 2 cables to be installed and therefore reducing costs.
