Overview of the Axis Q6044

High quality Axis Q6044 indoor PTZ speed dome network camera with true day/night, IP52 rating, built-in video analytics, two-way audio and wide dynamic range (WDR).

The Axis Q6044 high-speed dome IP camera delivers advanced, high quality indoor surveillance in HD 720p video at up to 30 frames per second. PTZ with 360° panning and 20° above horizon tilt provide fast and effective coverage of large areas with a single camera. 30x optical zoom enables close-up viewing in detail from great distances. True day/night capability of the Q6044 enables it to capture high quality images at all times, with an infrared cut filter switching the camera from colour mode during daylight to mono capture at night-time. The IP52 rated casing protects the camera from dust and dripping water.

Two-way audio is supported by the Axis Q6044 which enables the user to connect a speaker and microphone (not included) to the camera so sound can be recorded to complement visual video. This feature can also enable verbal interaction through the camera for giving warnings or instructions.

The Q6044 captures high quality images through advanced imaging technologies such as very high light sensitivity, wide dynamic range and image stabilisation. The WDR feature captures both bright and dark areas within a scene, for example a doorway, so detail is maintained in all circumstances. Electronic image stabiliser enables the camera to produce clear images free from blur even when subject to movement such as swaying or vibration.

Built-in video analytics with shock detection, audio and motion detection with Axis Active Gatekeeper provide secure, effective monitoring and can alert the user of potential security breaches. PoE+ reduces costs of maintenance of the Q6044 and of initial installation. SD recording provides a useful data backup in case of a network failure.
