Overview of the Panasonic i-Pro WV-SFN611L

High-level WV-SFN611L indoor dome network camera from Panasonic’s i-Pro 6 series, capable of HD 720p at 60 fps and with built-in IR illuminators providing up to 30m night-vision. Also featuring dual SD card recording, full duplex bi-directional audio, image enhancing technologies, bandwidth reduction capabilities, configurable video motion detection and PoE.

Part of Panasonic’s 6 series, the i-Pro WV-SFN611L indoor dome network camera delivers high frame rate HD 720p video (60 fps) and is equipped with an infrared-cut filter for high sensitivity day/night switching and 24/7 surveillance. Additionally, the built-in IR LEDs obtain images in complete darkness up to 30m away and are intelligently controlled to match the environment to prevent overexposure. High speed auto back focus and motorised zoom make the WV-SFN611L easy to install and ensure sharp image capture.

The Panasonic WV-SFN611L dome is capable of producing clear, polished video footage using a variety of image enhancing technologies. Enhanced Super Dynamic and Adaptive Black Stretch (ABS) provide a wide dynamic range for detailed image capture in strongly back-lit environments whilst 3D noise reduction prevents blur in low light images. The WV-SFN611L also features Face Super Dynamic to ensure clear face image capture for identification, fog compensation for improved visibility in hazy conditions, and Super Chroma Compensation for better colour reproduction even in low illumination.

Video motion detection with 4 configurable detection areas, 15 sensitivity steps and 10 detection sizes provides customisable security monitoring, enabling the camera to trigger recording and alert the user to activity. Two-way audio allows interactive communication between operators and the camera site (speaker and microphone required, not included), whilst double SD memory card slots provide auto backup in case of network failure.

With VIQS (variable image quality on specified area) and Panasonic’s “UniPhier” platform, the i-Pro WV-SFN611L enables reduced bandwidth use, recording only selected areas in high resolution and enabling multiple H.264 streams for simultaneous real-time monitoring. Using Power over Ethernet (PoE) for power, the WV-SFN611L is easy and low-cost to install. Still images can be viewed via smartphones for convenient remote access.
