Overview of the Panasonic i-Pro WV-ST162

A replacement for Panasonic's popular BB-HCM715 camera, the i-Pro WV-ST162 is an indoor IP camera with 90° pan/tilt movement, allowing it to capture a much larger area than a conventional camera. The camera is capable of capturing events in high contrast lighting, including Panasonic's Adaptive Black Stretching, wide dynamic range and dynamic noise reduction. Additionally, the electrical day/night system boosts the camera's sensitivity to low light for brighter images in low-light conditions.

The included facial detection system can automatically adjust images for optimum facial definition, or can integrate with NVR-based identification system to trigger events when known people are seen. Video can also be recorded directly onto the camera using its SD memory card slot, lowering system costs while improving reliability. With 2-way audio support, the camera lets users listen to events using the integrated speaker or talk with people in view by connecting the camera to a speaker system.
