Overview of the Panasonic WV-SW155

The Panasonic i-PRO SmartHD WV-SW155 network camera is compact, vandal-resistant and outdoor-ready, ideal for monitoring and surveillance in vehicles such as HGVs, buses, trains and taxis. The camera also performs well in outdoor environments where non-invasive surveillance is key. Facial features can be captured clearly with HD 720p resolution and Face SuperDynamic software which optimises exposure when faces are in view.

Simple day/night switching provides monochrome video with improved light sensitivity for low-light security monitoring, while the Adaptive Black stretch feature reduces loss of detail in high-contrast lighting. The Variable Image Quality on Specified area (VIQS) system reduces video quality in non-essential areas of view to reduce bandwidth use.

The WV-SW155's wide viewing angle allows a large area to be captured simultaneously, minimising blind spots. Edge recording to SD cards is also supported (SD card not included), offering self-contained video storage for standalone installations.
