Overview of the Panasonic WV-SC385

The Panasonic WV-SC385 is an indoor pan/tilt/zoom dome camera capable of providing a highly-detailed, full HD 720p image, making it an ideal solution for surveillance in large, crowded areas or situations that require facial identification, such as airports, factories and warehouses. The WV-SC385's detailed image is combined with an 18x optical and 12x digital zoom, enabling you to enlarge and focus on specific areas of the camera's field of view.

Alongside this, the WV-SC385 features Super Dynamic and Adaptive Black Stretch functionality. These technologies improve the levels of detail in highlighted and shadowed areas of the image, useful in combination with the camera's wide field of view. The camera's electronic day/night system also increases light sensitivity in dark locations.

The WV-SC385 has a number of pan/tilt/zoom features, including auto-flip, which allows the camera to track an object moving 360° around it, and auto-tracking, which can detect and centre an object or person in the camera's field of view. Built-in motion detection and face detection alarms can trigger recording and notify you via e-mail of any untoward activity. Footage can be stored locally on the camera itself using an SD card (not supplied), or remotely. As well as this, the WV-SC385 features Power over Ethernet, providing both network connectivity and power to the camera through a single cable, reducing installation time and costs.
