Compact and sleek, the Panasonic WV-SW158 IP66-rated vandal-resistant HD 1080p dome network camera with EN50155 railway use certification offers a raft of advanced features including a 3.1 megapixel high sensitivity MOS sensor, super dynamic technology, face detection, intelligent video motion detection and fog compensation for enhanced image clarity under hazy conditions. Two-way audio including an integrated microphone, edge recording using an SD card and PoE support for easy installation make the WV-SW158 and attractive, complete product.
The Panasonic WV-SW158 outdoor fixed dome network camera provides high quality, wide area coverage with 100° horizontal and 81° vertical viewing angles and a 3.1 megapixel MOS sensor producing full HD 1080p video at 30 frames per second. Electric day/night capability with 3D noise reduction technology provides the WV-SW158 with good low light capability. The low profile IP66-rated and vandal-resistant dome design of the camera provides unobtrusive surveillance, whilst the unit is also EN50155 certified for use on railways. Images are optimised to suit screen formats of tablets or smartphones to enable better mobile viewing.
The built-in microphone enables sound to be captured to enhance video footage, assisting with video analysis and providing more useful data. Panasonic Super Dynamic and Adaptive Black Stretch (ABS) technologies correct illumination differences in captured images so objects appear more natural for easier viewing. Face Super Dynamic technology is able to detect human faces which further optimises the image for clear identification. Fog and smoke reduction technology improves visibility of images captured in fog, smoke or hazy conditions so video footage is clear whatever the circumstances.
Configurable video motion detection with 4 zones, 15 adjustable sensitivity settings and 10 detection size steps enables the user to set alarm detection to best suit the area under surveillance. Edge recording on an integrated SD card (SD card not included) provides local storage space for alarm recordings and also provides failover protection in the event of network failure. Power over Ethernet (PoE) support provides lower-cost installation as only a single cable if required to feed the camera with power and data as opposed to two traditional cables.
