Overview of Sony SNC-CH180

The Sony SNC-CH180 is a fixed IP security camera with an IP66-rated weather-resistant casing capable of delivering a full HD 720p image, making it ideal for deployment in areas where the camera could be exposed to difficult weather conditions, such as airports and industrial sites.

The SNC-CH180 also features an integrated infrared-sensitive black and white filter and built-in infrared lighting (effective up to at least 20m). In low lighting conditions the SNC-CH180 will switch from a colour image to an infrared-sensitive black and white image, offering an effective monitoring presence round the clock. As well as this, Sony's DEPA intelligent video system can automatically notify you of any audio or visual activity outside of user-defined parameters, and also alert you to attempts to tamper with the camera. Recorded footage can be stored remotely or locally on the camera itself using a CompactFlash card (not supplied).

The SNC-CH180 features several image processing technologies to optimise picture quality. View DR™ improves picture quality in extremes of highlighting or backlighting in the camera's field of view. XDNR™ reduces motion blur in dark lighting conditions. Easy Zoom and Easy Focus features simplify installation by automatically optimising the image once the camera is installed.

Utilising the appropriate power supply, the SNC-CH180's integrated heater allows it to operate in temperatures as low as -30°C (-22°F).

The SNC-CH180 is a Power over Ethernet camera. This means both power and a network connection can be streamed to the camera through just one cable, simplifying installation and reducing costs. The SNC-CH180 also comes with Sony RealShot Manager Lite, providing an out of the box recording and playback solution.

Please note: this camera does not come with a power supply. Please select if required.
