This product is discontinued, an alternative model is the Bosch DINION IP 5000

The Sony SNC-CS50P is a state-of-the-art static Network Camera featuring Intelligent Object Detection. This intelligent function makes the camera capable of detecting objects that have been abandoned, e.g. a bag in a train station. In addition, the SNC-CS50P also includes Intelligent Motion Detection, preventing false alarms from, for example, swaying trees, moving clouds or rain. Other advanced features include JPEG and MPEG-4 dual streaming, day and night switching, multicasting, an anti-tamper function, bi-directional audio, image stabilisation, adaptive rate control and power over ethernet support. Superior image quality is delivered by a 1/3-type SuperExWave CCD sensor. This camera provides up to 30 images per second at VGA 640 x 480 and performs in light levels as low as 0.4 in colour and 0.04 lux in black and white. Like all IP cameras offered on www.networkwebcams.co.uk, the Sony SNC-CS50P has a built-in webserver and can be viewed via a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet.

Important: This camera does not include a power supply unless you have selected one above.

An outdoor version is available: Sony SNC-CS50P Network camera – Outdoor bundle wall mount

Sony SNC-CS50P - Key benefits:

  • High specification, feature rich IP network camera for security surveillance at the highest level
  • Maximum installation flexibility is offered by support for power over ethernet (PoE), wireless cards, video out (BNC), two-way audio, 2 x alarm input and output, and a RS-232C connection

Sony SNC-CS50P - Key features:

  • Intelligent Video Motion Detection: Can trigger a variety of actions such as recording and transferring images (via FTP), sending alarm notification by email (with still image attached) and/or set off an external alarm device. Unlike with conventional motion detection, the last 15 frames are used to calculate motion detection. This prevents unwanted noise components, such as moving clouds or rain, from accidentally triggering an alarm, providing a more robust detection method and preventing false alarms
  • Unattended Object Detection function: Detects objects that have been left in one place for a specified duration. Up to four detection areas can be specified. This feature can be useful for applications such as detecting suspicious objects in public spaces or for detecting illegally parked cars
  • Sensor In and Alarm Out Ports: Featuring two sensor inputs, the camera can receive triggers from external sensors. Two alarm (relay) outputs can be used to trigger other devices to perform a variety of actions
  • Pre- / Post- Alarm Image Storage: Using an ATA memory card (not supplied) in the PC card slot, several seconds of pre- and post-alarm images can be recorded
  • Day and Night Function: Optimised light sensitivity 24/7. As the scene darkens, the infrared cut filter is automatically replaced with a clear filter and the camera switches to Black and White mode, achieving a minimum illumination of less than 0.04 lux
  • Three compression formats: JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264. MPEG-4 provides clear moving images efficiently over networks even with limited network bandwidth. For higher compression, when bandwidth is even more limited, H.264, which achieves two times more compression than MPEG-4, is available (Important note: H.264 cannot be viewed via a browser but only via a future software upgrade)
  • Dual Encoding Capability: MPEG-4 and JPEG images are streamed simultaneously, allowing, for example, to transfer MPEG-4 images over a WAN or the Internet, where network bandwidth is limited, while storing high-resolution JPEG images on a local storage device configured on the LAN
  • Image Stabiliser: Minimises shaky images caused by low-frequency vibration, such as nearby traffic, so that stable, sharp images are provided
  • Adaptive Rate Control: The video bit-transfer rate automatically adjusts in accordance with changing network conditions (in MPEG-4 and H.264)
  • Onubtrusive, stylish design and a convenient rear panel cover for cable management
  • Electronic shutter, auto/manual gain control, auto/manual exposure control, backlight compensation, white balance modes: ATW, ATW PRO, ONE PUSH
  • Effective pixels: 440,000, 752 (H) x 582 (V)
  • Security: IP filtering and multi-level password protection

Sony SNC-CS50P - Typical applications:

  • Local and remote security monitoring of sensitive or high-risk areas and assets, including train stations, processing plants, factories, server rooms, banks and other private and public facilities and buildings
