Overview of the Videotec Punto Hi-PoE (HOT39K2A700 )

The Videotec Punto Hi-PoE outdoor housing is a smart, cost-effective solution allowing for PoE-capable, box-style IP cameras to be installed externally by means of just an Ethernet cable and without the need for any separate electrical cabling. Using a PoE+ capable network switch or midspan, power and data are transmitted via the Ethernet cable, powering both the camera as well as the heating element within the housing. This offers great time and cost-savings.

IP67-rated, the Videotec Punto Hi-PoE housing provides reliable and flexible installation, enabling a wide range of fixed network security cameras to be used outdoors with protection against low temperatures, rain, moist and dust. The included sunshield protects the sensor from direct sunlight and also prevents solar loading (which means internal temperature becoming too high).

The Punto Hi-PoE housing can be configured via a dip switch according to PoE or PoE+ standards, depending on system requirements. The handy side opening provides easy access to the camera, lens and internal connections for easy installation and maintenance. This camera enclosure provides protection against UV rays and atmospheric agents. The housing is also suited for use with a cable-managed bracket (WBOVA2, not included, please select from above drop-down), allowing installation with no cable visible or exposed.
