Overview of the VERSO Hi PoE IPM housing

The VERSO Hi-PoE IPM housing from Videotec enables an indoor CCTV camera to operate in outdoor applications or can further protect an outdoor-ready camera from harsh environmental conditions. By incorporating Intelligent Power Management (IPM), this VERSO Hi-PoE housing makes installation quick and easy as the IPM system automatically detects all components such as fan, heater etc, and balances power consumption to ensure suitable distribution. This enables the housing to regulate the inside temperature and ensure the camera can operate optimally at all times.

Combining this housing with a (802.3af) PoE powered network camera means only one cable is needed to carry video data and power both to the housing, and then to the camera, removing the need for any extra electrical cabling and saving on costs. Run only a single, standard Ethernet cable (e.g. CAT5E, CAT6 etc) to provide both power and data to the unit and camera.

The VERSO Hi-PoE camera housing is IP66 rated, meaning it is protected against rain and dust so suitable for outdoor applications. The integrated sunshield protects the camera from bright sunlight and harmful UV rays. The housing opens sideways to facilitate easy installation, maintenance and servicing on the camera and any lenses or accessories. A thermostatically controlled heater regulates the temperature within the enclosure and ensures the camera can still operate in cold environments.

This housing can be mounted using a selection of optional brackets available from the above drop down menu if required. A Videotec LED illuminator can be added to this housing using the Videotec OSUPPIR bracket.
